About Us

We are a humble group of servants. Consultants — big hearts and healthy minds — who have an interest in positively impacting the social good.  We come from, mainly, the For-Profit world; we see this as one of our great assets since Non-Profits are increasingly being asked to conduct their operations and administration like For-Profits.

The Original Crew: November 2009

With a small grant from Community Foundation of Sonoma County in October 2010, The Minerva Project has successfully created a community of consultants who are willing to give of themselves and their expertise.

Our operations have expanded to provide consultants in four locations:

  • San Francisco (associated with San Francisco State U),
  • East Bay (Oakland, Hawyard: CSU East Bay),
  • Sonoma County (Sonoma State Univeristy),
  • South Los Angeles (CSU Dominguez Hills).

Our consultants have expertise in mergers, partnerships, collaborations, consolidations which, we believe, is an important area of expertise in the Non-Profit Sector right now.

Our Founder, George R. Moskoff, CMC, is a visionary and successful business and non-profit Consultant and Social Entrepreneur.  Moskoff, consulting since 1983, started working with Non-Profits — in a variety of capacities (Board Member, Board President, Managing Director) — in 1984.  Moskoff’s work, as a Consultant to NP’s, has focused on Performance Improvement / Capacity Building / Leadership Development with more than thirty (30) Non-Profit clients including the HQ operations for Alzheimer’s Association and The Multiple Sclerosis Society.  Moskoff is the 2010 recipient of Sonoma County Adult & Youth Development’s “Volunteer of the Year” award.

“The Army became stuck in a set of ideas which had had their heyday before the end of the First World War. It was all the more inclined that way because its leaders were growing old at their posts, wedded to errors that had once constituted their glory.”

– DeGaulle, writing of France’s appalling unpreparedness for WWII
